Kurt J. Schmid und Peter Schmid are appointed to head the company,
thus transferring responsibility for managing the family-owned
business to the fourth generation. The plants in Waldenburg, Reinach
and Bretzwil are expanded in various stages and the production
machinery is continually modernized. |

Implementation of TQS (Total Quality Strategy) and expansion
of the comprehensive TH quality assurance system. |

Tschudin+Heid AG is the first Swiss manufacturer of turned parts

Establishment of TH Holding AG. |

The Decomer AG manufacturing operations are integrated into
Tschudin+Heid AG Waldenburg and Bretzwil.
The switch line of th-contact ag in Reinach is sold to Saia-Burgess
Gateshead, UK. The fifth generation of the family – Tobias Schmid (Production)
is now in leading managerial positions.

| 2003 |
Tschudin+Heid AG is spun off from TH-Holding AG and continues
to operate as an independent limited company. Kurt J. Schmid and
Dieter Schmid retire from the Board of Directors. The company
is strategically reorganized and Bretzwil is expanded into a highly
qualified facility for manufacturing medical technology products.
The shareholder structure changes, with Peter Schmid taking over
as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Dr. h.c. Thomas Straumann
as Deputy Chairman.
